How to Use Print Then Cut Printables in Cricut Explore Design Space

This tutorial will guide you step by step through uploading your printable, adjusting the size correctly, and using the Print Then Cut feature.

There are three simple steps: upload the printable, adjust the size, and then print and cut.

Launch Cricut Design Space and click New Project.

STEP 1 – Upload the Printable

Click the Upload button on the bottom left panel.

Click Upload Image.

Click Browse and locate your printable PNG file.

Select your file and click Open.

Select Complex and click Continue.

Click Apply and Continue.

Select Print Then Cut Image and click Upload.

Select the uploaded file from Recent Uploads and click Add to Canvas.

Step 1 is complete.

STEP 2 – Adjust the Size

Print Then Cut printables include exact dimensions. You must enter these manually for accurate results.

In the Size section at the top, change the width and height.

Example dimensions for the cake box printable:

Width: 6.723"
Height: 8.568"

If you do not see the Size bar, click More.

Click the small lock icon if it is unlocked. Then type in the correct width.

Step 2 is complete.

STEP 3 – Print Then Cut

Click Make It in the top right corner.

Confirm your material size is set to 8.5 x 11 inches. Click Continue, print your page, then place it on your Cricut mat and allow the machine to cut your printables.
